How it works

Simply mount an INTEGRA VIAFLO or VOYAGER electronic pipette onto the ASSIST PLUS pipette holder, choose a pipetting protocol, add a tip rack and your labware. Press RUN and ASSIST PLUS will automatically carry out the pipetting task.

Overview

1) Pipette adapter: accommodates all INTEGRA mulitchannel pipettes – with fixed and adjustable tip spacing.
2) User Interface: program setup and selection is done using the pipette’s intuitive user interface.
3) Deck: three work positions are available to accommodate reagent reservoirs, tube racks and plates.
4) and 5) Automatic tip change: two dedicated postions for automatic tip loading and tip ejection.

Versatility

Smart Pipette Adapter

The pipette adapter of ASSIST PLUS allows the use of all VIAFLO and VOYAGER multichannel pipettes. Pipettes range from 4 to 16 channels and cover a volume range of 0.5 to 1250 μl to allow optimal adaptation to many different applications.

Labware Compatibility

ASSIST PLUS can accommodate numerous labware types, from tubes to 384-well plates in landscape or portrait orientation. INTEGRA multichannel reservoirs, which are available in 10, 25 and 100 ml sizes offer exceptionally low dead volumes. For larger storage volumes, INTEGRA’s automation-friendly reservoirscan be used.

Setting up pipetting tasks

Directly on the pipette

Protocol setup and selection is done using the pipette’s intuitive user interface. The Touch Wheel allows extremely fast menu navigation and volume adjustments. Simply choose a predefined program and adapt the default settings to your requirements.

Using a computer

The VIALAB software offers a simple and intuitive graphical user interface, allowing you to create protocols with a few clicks, without extensive programming knowledge.

VIALINK Pipette Management Software offers advanced users the ultimate freedom of defining pipetting programs step by step.

Applications

Serial Dilutions at optimal pipetting heights with controlled mixing speeds and tip change, if needed

Performing serial dilutions by hand is a tedious and error prone task. Not with the ASSIST PLUS – it does not skip rows and keeps critical parameters such as pipetting height and mixing speeds consistent for best pipetting results. If needed, tips can be exchanged after every transfer to minimize carryovers clinging to the tip.

Reformatting of plates and tubes

Reformatting samples from one format to another – e.g. from tubes into plates – is time consuming and prone to transfer errors. ASSIST PLUS reformats your samples automatically, taking full advantage of the VOYAGER pipette’s adjustable tip spacing to process tubes and plates up to 12 times faster than using a single channel pipette.

Setting up assay plates typically requires the addition of multiple samples and buffers or media. The flexible deck layout of the ASSIST PLUS accommodates tubes, reservoirs and plates, enabling multi-step transfers to the assay plate.

Hold up to 48 tubes on removable carriers for easy loading and storage.

 

96 Well and 384 Well PCR Cooling Blocks
The aluminum cooling blocks keep reagents in various PCR plates chilled. In addition, the 96 well cooling block serves as a holder for 0.2 ml PCR tubes.

15mL Centrifuge Tube Racks
ASSIST PLUS can also access* 15 ml centrifuge tubes (*pipette tips won’t reach very bottom of tubes).
